Almond Milk

There are numerous benefits of eating raw almonds – from healthy heart and blood sugar control to cancer prevention, etc. Almonds are low in carbs and rich in powerful antioxidants, calcium, protein, healthy fats, fiber, magnesium.

When we switched from cow’s milk to plant based milk alternatives, we tested a few (quinoa, oat milk, rice milk, hazelnut, almond milk) and it was the almond milk flavor and consistency that we loved the most. In supermarkets I would always go for the organic fancy boxes that cost usually around 5$ and more. Then one day I ran into a research revealing there’s only 2% of almonds in a carton of Almond milk!!! The rest is mostly water, added sugars, and other not so healthy ingredients.
